The place behind the scent:

Meadowbrook is a glacier-shaped prairie with deep cultural significance for the Snoqualmie people. Once a place of daily life, families hunted elk, deer, and small game here, gathered camas, berries, and other plants from the valley floor, used cedar in countless ways, and dried and smoked salmon caught below Snoqualmie Falls. Later, Meadowbrook became part of the famed Snoqualmie Valley hops era with approximately 900 acres of crop. Today, Meadowbrook is a protected open space within the Mountains to Sound Greenway and shared by the cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie. It has stunning views of Mount Si rising from the valley floor. Elk are often seen here, especially during the fall rut, when the valley gets a little wilder. It’s the perfect spot for a walk or a picnic in a truly special place.
